Studio Photography Workshop

Learn how to capture sharp, professional portraits and headshots in a real studio environment.

This workshop gives you the full experience of working in a professional studio. You’ll learn how to set up lights, adjust them for different looks, and use backdrops and reflectors to shape each shot. You’ll also practice directing people so your portraits feel natural and confident, not stiff or awkward.

After a short introduction to the theory behind the camera, it’s completely hands-on. From the moment you step into the studio, you’ll be behind the camera, testing setups, and seeing how each adjustment changes the results. Working alongside other participants, you’ll take turns shooting and assisting, so everyone gets the chance to learn each role. By the end, you’ll know how to walk into a studio and set up a portrait session from scratch, and you’ll take home images you’ve shot yourself to prove it, ready to add to or start your photography portfolio.
