Updated: Aug 8

We are incredibly proud to share that Jack Savage and Dylan Jake, Co-Founders and Directors of Lumina Arts Alliance, have been officially awarded the Rose of Northamptonshire Award – a distinguished honour presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, His Majesty’s official representative, in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council, North Northamptonshire Council, and the Northamptonshire Community Foundation. This award is granted to individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the wellbeing, resilience, and growth of their local communities.

This recognition is not only a testament to our personal dedication, but also a reflection of the values and vision that drive Lumina Arts Alliance. Our mission is to build a more creative, inclusive, and empowered Northamptonshire – one workshop, one exhibition, and one life at a time.

🔥 A Mission Rooted in Impact

Since its founding, Lumina Arts Alliance has stood as a creative force for social good. We have designed and delivered accessible arts programmes for young people aged 17 to 25, NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training), SEND individuals, ex-offenders, and others facing barriers to opportunity.

Under Jack and Dylan’s leadership, Lumina has:

  • 🎨 Delivered dozens of free creative workshops in photography, painting, music production, DJing, digital art, make-up artistry, and interior design.

  • 🖼 Curated multiple professional exhibitions in partnership with Influx Gallery, showcasing the work of emerging and marginalised artists.

  • 📸 Supported participants in developing creative portfolios, helping them progress into education, employment, or freelance opportunities.

  • 🤝 Partnered with local organisations such as The Shaw Trust, Mind, and Northampton Saints Foundation to maximise reach and deliver trauma-informed, meaningful experiences.

  • 🧠 Embedded wellbeing into every programme, using the arts as a catalyst for mental health support, emotional expression, and personal growth.

  • 🎓 Provided mentorship, career advice, and a sense of belonging to those often left behind by traditional systems.

Lumina’s approach isn’t just about teaching technical skills. It’s about creating safe, expressive environments where individuals are seen, heard, and supported. We use creativity as a bridge to purpose, connection, and confidence.

🌍 More Than a Project, a Movement

The Rose of Northamptonshire Award honours the transformative ripple effect Lumina has created across the county. We are shifting lives, building futures, and cultivating a cultural landscape that is more inclusive, diverse, and vibrant.

Jack Savage and Dylan Jake have not only spearheaded this movement, but have done so with unwavering compassion, visionary leadership, and a deep belief in the power of people.

This award belongs to them, but also to every participant, partner, volunteer, and artist who has been part of the Lumina journey.

💬 Final Words

At Lumina Arts Alliance, we believe art changes lives. Everyone deserves access to that change. This recognition fuels our commitment to keep pushing forward, expanding our reach, and delivering meaningful opportunities where they are needed most.
